Definite Games to play: TF2, UT3, L4D (1 or 2), some type of COD, Flatout 2
Possible Games to play: Warcraft 3, Farcry 2, RS Vegas 2, Anything else we feel like
What to bring:
Computer & All connections
Ethernet cable of 5-10 feet
Chair to sit on
$5 for food (BBQ likely)
Soda or preferred drinks
Alcohol: Yes
Smoking: Outside only... filthy smokers...

how many people do you normally have at an event like this, and how many do you think you could handle total? my friend, i and possibly a 3rd might be interested in showing up..

Generally we have about 10-14, depending on how long it's been since the last LAN. They are normally smaller LANs, where everybody can play in the same game/server (Sometimes we go stomping online servers for fun). We can handle probably 24 total, unless we start daisy-chaining switches, which is never a fun thing. But there's always places we can put people in the case of more people than room in my basement...

FINALLY... and don't call me a filthy smoker... although I may be the only one now lol. I will definatly be there. Wife is even talking about coming and actually PC gaming now that she has a decent PC. Yay for more cannon fodder!!

I played it a bit when it was free. Pretty good game for the price, but it really comes down to how many people get it.

Should be able to make it, just built a new gaming computer.
Have to find my copy of UT3. Anyone have COD World at War? Nazi Zombies is a lot of fun.

It has been a long long time since I've been to a LAN party with you guys. But I'm up for it. Sorry about the last minute notice. Would we happen to have a need for a server at all? Doubt it but I have a few spare systems kicking around that could be put to use.

yeah. BEAST can handle anything I throw at it... dual-proc quad-core. =) We've come a long way since the days @ CyberExchange with Xeno & Silent (Anybody heard from them lately???)

Since it looks like I'll have to purchase some games before I come I have a couple of quick questions. I have some of the games listed, but not all. I don't mind spending some cash but which L4D are we more likely to play? L4D2 or L4D1? I have L4D1 for my 360 which is why I haven't purchased it for the PC as of yet. And which CoD are we most likely to play? Please please please don't tell me COD MW2, not sure if I could bring myself to buy that one.

Please please please don't tell me COD MW2, not sure if I could bring myself to buy that one. hmm.. well from what we talked about. l4d will be played late in the evening since its only 8 players. and most likley it will be l4d2. and I wouldn't worry about Cod MW2 to much. probably mainly TF2, maybe Wolfenstine2 and some farcry2. and UT3(to shut nutkase up) not realy talk about may other games.... Oh. RB6V2 was mentioned since we havent tried it at a lan yet.

Have you all seen the new Alien vs Predator coming out? Think we will have to play that at the next LAN. AVP2 used to be a blast. "alien alien alien"
